Hello everyone!

As you can see, things changed a bit around here,
and I'm going to introduce you to another change. We know host guest posts!
And my dear friend, the incredibly talented Alyssa Rose, is the first one!
Here it goes:

New Adult Paranormal Romance

New Adult Paranormal Romance is a guilty pleasure for me. Reading it, writing it, there’s something about books that fall into this category that I can’t get enough of. As a paranormal romance writer, I love the challenge of creating new worlds that no one else has created before, and doing this on a college campus just makes it more fun.  Mixing the NA voice with paranormal creatures and worlds results in a combination that’s hard to beat.
For me, the New Adult category is all about the voice and feel.  Not every book that features a young twenty-something is New Adult.  Beyond the age of the characters, the book needs to deal with the issues and themes of the New Adult category, and the voice has to fit.
Many of the NA themes fit beautifully within Paranormal Romance. My Crescent Chronicles books feature a young college student who gets thrust into a paranormal society without any warning. On top of the usual stresses of adjusting to the post-high school world, Allie, my MC, has to adjust to a world that includes winged creatures she’d never known existed.  As the series continues, Allie has to find her place in a new city (New Orleans) and with a new set of friends while still trying to hold on to her life at home. Many of the same issues apply in my other NA Paranormal series, The Empire Chronicles, and underlying both series is the story of characters stumbling through their late teens and early twenties both in love and in life.
If you enjoy the voice and themes of Contemporary NA but are craving something different, give NA paranormal a chance.  I’m sure you’ll be as hooked as I am.

Book One: Flight
Sometimes you just have to take flight.
A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad’s invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind—until she sees Levi.
Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her.

Book Two: Focus
Freshman year of college is hard even when you're not tied to the future king of a supernatural society.
Allie dives into college head first with Hailey as her roommate and the city of New Orleans as her backyard. As things within The Society heat up, Allie realizes that whether she’s with Levi or not, she's in far too deep to turn back.

Book Three: Found
Levi might be hot, strong, and have a cool set of wings, but it's not enough to make up for keeping Allie in the dark.
Allie's tired of being left with more questions than answers. She's tired of loving a guy who refuses to level with her. Most of all, she's tired of her life spinning out of control.
Desperate to save Jess no matter the personal cost, Allie has to face the possibility that the only one she can trust is herself.

Levi POV Novella

Levi's got it all. He's a paranormal prince with more money and power than he knows what to do with, but something is missing—a mate. He only has until college graduation to find her.
Allie's perfect but she wants nothing to do with him. When attraction becomes something more, will he take a chance and show her who he really is or will he lose everything?

  1. Love your covers and what a great way to start off the new look for the blog!

  2. I have a NA paranormal romance I am currently querying. It's a retelling of Phantom of the Opera but with a male protagonist and a female "opera ghost." I hope to find a home for it soon although finding agents who even want to look at PNR is hard. Any suggestions?

  3. Just grabbed FLIGHT. Can't wait to read it!

We LOVE hearing from you!
